Timber Frame Extensions

A timber frame extension is a pre engineered structure built from insulated timber panels instead of traditional brick and block. The system arrives in modular “pods” that are assembled on site, giving you a strong, well insulated room with far less mess and disruption than a conventional build.

Because the extension is factory made, most projects are delivered to site within a week of order and can be built from start to finish in around one week, depending on size and specification.

Yes. The system we use has been independently tested, structurally engineered and granted System Approval by accredited Building Control agencies. That means the roof and walls have passed checks for strength, thermal performance and condensation risk, making Building Control sign-off much smoother.

Timber is a natural insulator and the walls and roof are packed with high performance multi-layer insulation and insulated plasterboard. This helps keep heat in during winter, stops rooms overheating in summer and achieves very low U-values compared with a standard conservatory or older extension.

In many cases, yes. The wall system can be retrofitted onto a suitable existing base, provided it meets current Building Regulations. We will always assess the base and, if needed, advise you to check with your local Building Control officer before work starts.

You can choose from pitched or flat roofs, roof lanterns or glazed panels for extra light, and a wide range of external finishes including synthetic slate or shingle tiles, different fascia and soffit colours, and various cladding options to help the new extension blend in with your home.
